Getting the Most Out of Hollowreach
Hollowreach is not a game you rush, and the few times I tried, I got stuck. The puzzles here are built on observation, so the best thing you can do is slow right down and look at everything twice.
Read every note you find, even the ones that seem like flavour text. More than once a scribbled line turned out to be the exact hint I needed for a puzzle two rooms later. The story and the solutions are woven together more tightly than they first appear.
When you are stuck, retrace your steps rather than brute-forcing a puzzle. The game rarely hides what you need far away; usually you walked past it without registering what it meant.
Play it at night with the sound up. Hollowreach is short, quiet, and a little sad, and it rewards the kind of attention most mobile games never ask for. That is precisely why it stayed with me.
